Loathe to be classified 'electronica' but ultimately resigned to being pigeonholed as such, the music contained on Dialect’s debut 12” release ‘Buildings.with.towns.in’ (RES007) is reminiscent of U-Ziq's Planet Mu imprint and the Din label (Arovane/Dynamo), while also displaying a love of atmospheric, innovative and classical music. In a time where there seem to be more genres (and sub-genres thereof) than artists, Dialect would perhaps be best described as Postrockambitroniclassical, if only it were snappier and more easily digestible.

The man behind Dialect is 18-year old Daniel Lovegrove, a prodigious multi-instrumentalist and sometime producer who works from the studio at his home in Reading. 2004 has seen him recording and touring with Icelandic label mates Stafraenn Hakon, for whom he also produced the recent acclaimed "Ventill/Poki" album.
